Suyasha Koirala

Research Officer

Suyasha Koirala is a dedicated public health professional with a background in research, project coordination, and health systems strengthening for over the past five years. She has worked extensively on projects involving marginalized populations, including individuals affected by leprosy and disabilities, as well as communities facing barriers to maternal and primary health care in Nepal. She holds a Master’s in Public Health with a specialization in Global Health from the University of Southern Denmark. Her academic background has provided a solid foundation in public health research, and implementation.


Suyasha brings a diverse skill set in both qualitative and quantitative research. She is experienced in conducting systematic reviews, analyzing community health systems, and designing training materials. Her practical experience includes organizing disability camps, mentoring community-based facilitators, and delivering mHealth training for Female Community Health Volunteers. She is also proficient in using digital tools like OneHealth to enhance project delivery.


Suyasha is driven by principles of inclusivity, equity, and ethical research. Her adaptability and eagerness to learn reflect a strong commitment to growth. Passionate about equitable healthcare, she focuses on preventive care, digital health, and bridging traditional and biomedical practices. She has made significant contributions through community-based interventions, capacity building of health workers, and fostering municipal partnerships that ensured continued support and resource allocation. Currently, Suyasha is involved in the PECAN project, which focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and employs a participatory approach to strengthen community engagement and health system response.
