Shodashi Rayamajhi is a professional with over 14 years of experience in the development and humanitarian sectors. She is pursuing an MPhil in Gender Studies and holds a master’s degree in Gender Studies, along with Post Graduate Diplomas in Women Studies and Psychological Counselling.
Rayamajhi specializes in supporting marginalized and vulnerable groups, including women and children affected by domestic violence and trafficking. In Myanmar, she worked with VSO and the Women’s League of Burma (WLB), gaining insights into violence against women and justice for ethnic communities.
Her work with the Global Fund involved legal analysis to protect the human rights of those affected by HIV and TB, designing programs to reduce barriers for these populations. She has expertise in developing Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) policies, mainstreaming GESI into programs, Gender Responsive Budgeting, and GESI in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). She has built capacity in empowerment and gender issues, as well as gender and human rights in the context of HIV.
Ms. Rayamajhi has also worked extensively in child rights and protection, notably during the 2015 earthquake in Nepal with Save the Children. Her analytical skills and practical experience make her a valuable asset in delivering quality programs for women, children, and gender minorities.
