Dr. Ganesh Ram Nhamafuki is an Earthquake and Structural Engineer with over 10 years of experience in various aspects of structural engineering. His areas of expertise within earthquake-structural engineering include research, particularly earthquake risk assessment, risk reduction and recovery. He has also served as, in-charge of PIU of reconstruction project of monuments in Bhaktapur municipality. Additionally, he has over 10 years of teaching experience.
He is currently employed with HERD International as Capacity Enhancement Advisor and is seconded to the Ministry of Health as part of the National Health Sector Support Programme (NHSSP).

Earthquake Engineer- Genesis Consultancy (P) Ltd.: During his tenure at the Genesis Consultancy, Dr. Nhamafuki worked as part of the Earthquake Risk, Reduction and Recovery Preparedness Programme for Nepal (ERRRP Project) under the support of Government of Japan and UNDP – Nepal. He was responsible for Seismic hazard calculation of five municipalities, preparation of seismic hazard map and conducting risk assessment, and determining earthquake risk reduction and recovery strategies.
Earthquake Engineer, Bhaktapur Municipality: Dr. Nhamafuki was responsible to carry out the Seismic Vulnerability Assessment of Bhaktapur Municipality Building.
Organized the International Conference on Earthquake Engineering and Post Disaster Reconstruction Planning (ICEE-PDRP), 2016 as member of the Steering Committee and Editorial Board
Served as member of Research and Development Unit at Khwopa Engineering College where he supported the Unit to carry out the trainings, seminars, workshops and support research activities.
Awarded with Prestigious International Engineering Award “Mondialogo Engineering Award 2007” on the proposal entitle with “Improving structural strength of non-engineered building in the Himalayan Region.” Held on 7-10 Dec 2007 in Mumbai, India.
